Ricki Harris-Thompson

Ricki Harris-Thompson is a seasoned educational consultant with a strong emphasis on organizational and educational effectiveness. With extensive leadership experience, Ricki excels in creating dynamic learning environments that foster student and employee engagement.
​
Currently serving as a Trainer & Educator III- Contractor with the Division of Public Health, State of Delaware, Ricki develops comprehensive training programs aligned with agency goals, emphasizing workforce development and strategic planning. As an Adjunct Faculty member at various colleges/universities since 2008, Ricki has been delivering high-quality education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ricki shares her knowledge of Management, Human Resources, Leadership, Marketing, Economics, and the Social Sciences (psychology, sociology, and Ethics); utilizing a variety of learning techniques for adult learners to enhance student success.

Past roles include Course Instructor, where Ricki facilitated student transitions to college life, employed diverse teaching methodologies, and collaborated with academic departments to support student development. Additionally, Ricki has provided structured study time and academic support for student-athletes, demonstrating a commitment to promoting effective study habits and enhancing academic performance.

Ricki holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University, complementing a skill set encompassing leadership, management, communication, mentoring, strategic planning, technical skills, and course creation.
​
Ricki’s life is not all textbooks. She is married to her husband of 25 years raising three grown children along the way. Now an empty nester, she dives into crime mysteries and conquers jigsaw puzzles. Ricki also enjoys hobbies such as bowling, wine tasting, and during the fall months, Ricki transforms into an avid college football enthusiast.
